Kimberly Hume is looking for 4G and 5G RF Optimization Engineers to work a 6 month rolling contract rolls based in Congo B (Brazzaville).

Job Description:

  • RF optimization and system performance engineering for a 5G/LTE network
  • Configure systems and add new equipment to the networks; turn on, integrate and optimize new cells sites
  • Perform design and performance activities in customer projects
  • Perform Network and/or Node Reviews/Audits
  • Analyze performance of networks elements and see if changes (software or hardware changes)
  • Implement recommendations for network optimization improvement
  • Undertake networks performance improvement (KPIs) and optimization tasks
  • Monitoring overall Radio Network performance and takes any necessary action to improve it.
  • Ensuring that the radio network quality KPI’s are of world class standard.
  • Ensuring that newly integrated sites are tuned and provide optimum performance with reference to existing nodes.
  • Clearing Trouble Tickets on time.
  • Performing parameter consistency checks in the network and proposes new parameter values to enhance the network overall quality.
  • Performing related tuning on load sharing features to obtain maximum user throughput.
  • Aiding in developing the competitiveness of junior radio optimization engineers.
  • Providing technical interface between Network Core and Radio group for new node integration which has direct impact on subscriber perception.
  • Providing technical expertise for the radio optimization.
  • Providing reliable reports for the Radio Network performance as per requirement.

Job Qualifications:

  • With at least 3 years of experience in the wireless telecommunications industry
  • With experience in 4G/5G network tuning
  • Must have Cellular / Mobile Technology proficiency: 4G/5G LTE, NR theory and practical experience.
  • Preferably with experience in ZTE products is an added advantage.
  • Candidate must have solid understanding of 5G/4G network design principles and techniques
  • Candidate must have experience with drive test equipment, processes, and interpreting results
  • Candidate must have strong RF and antenna theory and understanding
  • Ability to work with different optimization tools, build network plans, interpret results
