Project Manager

The client is looking for a Project Manager (Solar Industry) to work a 12 month rolling contracts based in South Africa (Sandton).

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

• Professional Registration with SACPCMP as Pr.CM
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field)
• 3+ years of solar experience with managing commercial and industrial / utility projects
• Project Management: Oversee the end-to-end management of solar PV projects, from initial planning to commissioning and handover, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance on electrical systems, designs, and installations for solar PV projects, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards
• Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution
• Budget & Schedule Management: Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources, ensuring milestones are met and costs are controlled
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all projects comply with local regulations, industry standards, and safety protocols
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to prevent project delays or issues
• Strong understanding of solar PV systems and electrical engineering principles
• Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements in South Africa
• Excellent inter-personal communication skills, experience working with contractors
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic problem-solving environment
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Completing any tasks assigned by the COO in an efficient and timely manner
