Fiber Optic Deployment Manager

The client is looking for a Fiber Optic Deployment Manager to work a 6 month rolling contract based in Netherlands (Rijswijk).

The main purpose of this position is:

• The Fiber Optic Deployment Project Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating relevant subcontractors (civil engineering) and technical teams.
• Responsible with the setup-up of a high-performing team responsible for the deployment of fiber optic cables.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage all processes required for end to end fiber optic network deployment
• Coordinate projects schedules
• Develop all required drawings, specifications, and data sheets
• Create and implement technical inspection and quality assurance procedures,
• Develop design tools (if necessary) and methodology for fiber optic cables,
• Interface with various groups like Engineering and Product Management to stream line item development and set-up.
• Provide technical support training & experience
• Develop all necessary technical documentation.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders

Job Qualification/ Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of Fiber Optics deployment experience
• In depth knowledge with all the rules, regulations and tools used in the Netherlands Industry for fiber deployment.

Qualifications:

• Very good knowledge of Civil Works and site design
• Very good understanding build projects quality standards
• Proven communication skills with internal and external parties
• Knowledge of the mobile telecommunications infrastructure and equipment, Civil engineering aspects related to telecom network infrastructure
• Familiar with the Dutch Health and Safety Executive Regulations
• In depth knowledge of Dutch regulations and procedures in relation to construction (digging) activities and fiber deployment

Experience:

• Experience in the Fiber Optic deployment, from start-up
• Strong understanding of utility distribution networks
• Very good understanding of Fiber optic cable system design and theory,
• Good ability in network planning and network emulation,
• Strong understanding of fixed, mobile and converged Telecommunication networks
