Job Description
The client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Governance Consultant to join the team on a contract basis. You will play a critical role in conducting current state and maturity assessments, develop data management strategies, design operating models, and develop comprehensive data policies and procedures. This role is crucial in implementing and advancing the data governance programs. This contract is for a 12-month period and will be based in Baghdad, Iraq.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed current state and maturity assessments of our data governance capabilities.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive data management strategy.
- Design and establish an effective data governance operating model.
- Develop, review, and update data policies and procedures per organizational goals.
- Lead the implementation of data governance programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Provide expertise on data governance tools and technologies.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to develop data strategies, roadmaps, and action plans.
- Ensure compliance with data-related regulations and standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in implementing data governance programs.
- Proven track record in developing data policies, strategies, and roadmaps.
- Hands-on experience with data governance tools.
- Strong knowledge of DAMA, data management principles and best practices.
- CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional) certification is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
