UAV Production Manager

Tangent International are currently searching for a UAV Production Manager on behalf of our client who are at the forefront of European aerospace, hydrogen, energy solutions, and defence, developing AI-driven autonomous flight systems and advanced turbine engines pioneering the next wave of combat-proven defence innovations and breakthrough propulsion systems.

The candidate will bring experience within the aerospace industry, specifically in aircraft manufacturing, but experience in other complex technical manufacturing will also be considered.

The role involves working with metals, leading a team, and ensuring the efficient production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) including integration and testing processes.

Location: Hengelo, Netherlands

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the entire production process of raw materials and complex technical products.
• Ensure adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
• Utilize extensive knowledge in metalworking and small batch production.
• Oversee the integration and testing of UAV components.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency.
• Manage resources effectively to minimize waste and reduce production costs.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements in manufacturing technology.
• Ensure all products meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Recruit, train, and manage a skilled production team.
• Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in production management, with a focus on complex technical products.
• Proven experience in the aerospace industry, particularly in aircraft manufacturing, is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of metalworking and small batch production techniques.
• Familiarity with UAV manufacturing, integration, and testing processes.
• Proficiency in production management software and tools.
